Q:-What is Orchid Alliance of Asian Americans?
A:-Orchid Alliance of Asian Americans is a nonprofit organization that has the basic mission of educating the public and raising awareness of Asian American Culture.
Q:-What is Asian American Culture?
A:-Asian American Culture consists of many different aspects, in general it is the unique combination of an individual immigrant's culture intertwined with American influences. We want to explore, research, and document our findings in this large and diverse subject.
Q:-What do you do?
A:-We do all of the things that Asian Americans do and try to look at the experiences in a studious and documentary manner. As an organization we do charity work with the participation of the general public and Asian Americans.
A major project we are planning is a documentary film project tentatively called "Our Immigration Stories".
Q:- Who founded and started this nonprofit org?
A:- Orchid Alliance of Asian Americans was founded in 2008 by Andrew Lan. Mr. Lan is currently serving as the President of the organization.
Q:-what kind of specific activities do you do?
A:- Currently our activities fall into two broad categories, charitable/community outreach projects, and research of Asian American culture. charitable projects include the Holiday Toy Drive. Research activities include museum visits and interviewing and speaking to Asian American persons.
In the future, when we have gathered more documentation and research it will be presented to the general public here online as well as in live presentations open to the public, in publically accessible meeting places.

A:-We are looking for volunteers in the Seattle area for our charitable projects and research. We especially want to connect with others in the Asian American nonprofit community, and persons with an interest in learning more about Asian Americans.

A:- Yes, as a nonprofit we are always in need of financial support. If you feel passionate about raising awareness of Asian American Culture, as we do, together very meaningful things can be acomplished.
